SINGAPORE: It’s fast, fluid, and to the point. It’s news that you’ll want to watch, and it’s Singapore Connect@6.
Channel NewsAsia will launch a new Singapore—centric bulletin on Monday at 6pm, which will run from Mondays to Fridays.
Singapore Connect@6, which will be presented by Chan Eu Imm, will sum up the day’s key happenings in a nutshell.
"The show’s got a faster pace; in essence, we cut to the chase and we get right to the point. We take a big issue, we dissect it into bite—sized pieces so it’s easier to digest, and of course, we get the conversation going," she said.
The bulletin will include "live" studio interviews with guests who can shed more light on important issues.
Digital and social media will also play a big role in the programme.
"We’re actually going to try and involve the viewers, you know, get their opinions, help them help us shape the bulletin — by their contributions, photos, videos, news leads. All they have to do is just tweet us," said Ken Teh, Channel NewsAsia’s digital editor.
Sports fans and professionals will not be left out, with coverage spanning on—field events to the business world.
Singapore Connect@6 is part of a slew of new programmes to help viewers understand Asia as Channel NewsAsia broadcasts "live", round—the—clock.
