Circle Line disruption amid extended train service on public holiday eve

SMRT says there are no train services between Paya Lebar and Dhoby Ghaut station, and between Paya Lebar and Marina Bay stations. 

It posted this on its Twitter page at about 11.40pm. 

Earlier, SMRT said that train services on the circle line between Dhoby Ghaut and Harbourfront station were disrupted. 

It said in a post at about 10.45pm that this was due to a power fault. 

It added that buses were deployed to ferry affected passengers. 

This comes amid extended service hours on the eve of Hari Raya Haji. 

On Monday, SMRT said it would extend the hours of all its train service and selected buses ahead of the public holiday. 

It said its trains and selected buses will run up to 1.35am.
