Chinatown lights up for mid—autumn festival
SINGAPORE: With mid—autumn festival just two weeks away, Chinatown was a flurry of activity on Sunday — the first day of the eighth lunar month.
President Tony Tan Keng Yam officiated the light—up ceremony at Chinatown.
The ceremony was marked by performances in song, dance, skits, martial arts and dragon dance involving some 300 local and overseas performers.
