Changi Airport saw 4.6 million passenger movements in July
Changi Airport handled 4.58 million passengers in July, one per cent more compared to the same period last year.
Changi Airport Group, CAG, said passenger traffic during the month was supported by an increase in air travel between Singapore and Northeast Asia and South Asia.
This was offset by weaker performance on some Southeast Asian routes.
Among Changi Airport's top 10 country markets, Hong Kong, India and Vietnam registered double-digit increases.
Traffic between Singapore and Thailand continued to be impacted by the political situation, registering a year-on-year drop of 12 per cent, the ninth consecutive month of decline.
Bangkok traffic was down 16 per cent for the month.
CAG said the number of flights dipped 2.6 per cent to 28,200.
On the cargo front, shipments fell by 2.4 per cent to 155,000 tonnes.
