Casino Regulatory Authority renews licence of RWS for another 3 years
The Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore has renewed the casino licence of Resorts World at Sentosa (RWS).
The licence is for another three years, with effect from 6 February.
The CRA spokesperson said RWS' compliance record was among the many factors that CRA had considered when assessing the application.
In renewing RWS' casino licence, CRA has imposed additional requirements on RWS to put in place more robust structures and processes aimed at strengthening its overall compliance of Singapore's laws and regulations.
RWS said it's pleased with the renewal of the casino licence and has pledged to run its business responsibly.
It said that as Singapore's first integrated resort, it's proud to have created 13,000 jobs and made significant economic and tourism contributions to Singapore since it opened in 2010.
It added that as good corporate citizen and long-term investor in Singapore, it believes in improving the community it operates in.
