SINGAPORE: Some 20 people turned up on Tuesday evening at the Speakers’ Corner for a candlelight vigil to remember the young woman who was savagely gang—raped in New Delhi.
The 23—year—old medical student died in a hospital in Singapore.
"We have to show at least a little condolence to her by lighting up a candle. I’m very happy that there’s a crowd here," said Sultan Maideen, organiser of the candlelight vigil.
"At least, there’s a small crowd. I believe their hearts are bigger than (this) crowd, so that’s good enough," he added.
