SINGAPORE: Brunei's Minister of Development, Pehin Suyoi Haji Osman, will visit Singapore from 17-18 May for the 7th Brunei-Singapore Annual Exchange of Visits (BSAEV).
The visit is at the invitation of Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's Minister for the Environment and Water Resources.
The 7th BSAEV is an annual meeting between Singapore's Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) and Brunei's Ministry of Development.
During the annual meeting between the two ministries, both ministers and their officials will exchange information and views on environmental and water issues of mutual interest, said a MEWR statement.
They will also review the progress of joint activities and collaboration in the areas of solid waste management, air quality monitoring, water resource management and an environmental youth exchange programme.
The active information exchange and collaboration between the two ministries allows both Singapore and Brunei to address common environmental challenges and opportunities.
The 7th BSAEV will conclude with informal sports activities involving the two ministries. - CNA/ir
