Boy arrested over alleged threat to blow up MBS

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 13—year—old boy who allegedly threatened to plant bombs in Marina Bay Sands.

He is believed to have posted the threat on his Facebook page last Saturday.

The boy cannot be named as he is a minor.

Police said the case is classified as a Breach of Prohibition Against False Threats of Terrorist Acts.

The offence is punishable with a fine not exceeding S$100,000, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years, or both.

Police investigations are ongoing.
