SINGAPORE: A body was found early Tuesday morning in the Kallang River, near Bendemeer.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they received a call at around 10pm on Monday.
Some 20 SCDF officers went to the scene to conduct a search near Block 65, Kallang Bahru.
SCDF divers found the body at around 12.20am on Tuesday.
The deceased is believed to be a Chinese man in his 70s.
Police have classified the case as unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
