SINGAPORE: The Chief of Air Force of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), Air Marshal (AM) Geoff Brown, called on Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) on Thursday afternoon.
AM Brown, who is in Singapore on an introductory visit from October 10 to 12, also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant—General Neo Kian Hong and Chief of Air Force Major—General Ng Chee Meng.
He also visited Sembawang Air Base and Tengah Air Base, and inspected a Guard—of—Honour at MINDEF on Thursday.
MINDEF said AM Brown’s visit underscores the close and longstanding defence relations between Singapore and Australia.
The RSAF and the RAAF interact regularly through bilateral training, multilateral exercises such as Exercise Pitch Black, and a range of other professional exchanges.
MINDEF said interactions have bolstered the interoperability between the two air forces and enhanced the professional rapport and ties between their personnel.
