Aung San Suu Kyi arrives in Singapore
Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi arrived in Singapore shortly after 1pm today (20/09) to begin her four-day visit.
This is the first time the Nobel peace laureate has visited Singapore.
She met Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.
She will also receive briefings from several government agencies, including the Economic Development Board.
Her weekend schedule includes two speaking engagements and a meeting with some 5,000 Myanmar citizens based in Singapore.
