Republic Poly teams with Resorts World on theme park & attraction management programme
Singapore's Republic Polytechnic has partnered Resorts World Sentosa to offer a programme in Theme Park and Attraction Management.
Those in the programme will intern at the integrated resort and get hands-on experience managing its attractions.
The attachment will last 24 weeks.
The internship is open to students from the polytechnic's School of Hospitality.
They have to get through an interview with the resort and school to be selected for this specialised track.
So far, 44 students have been chosen for the programme, which will start this year.
Republic Polytechnic has also launched its Restaurant Training Laboratory.
It caters to students taking its Diploma in Restaurant and Culinary Operations.
With the facility, students will get practical training in managing the front and back-end aspects of food and beverage operations.
It was built at a cost of two million dollars.
