Suria and RTB celebrate 20 years of collaboration

SINGAPORE: It was a celebration of song and dance as MediaCorp’s Suria channel and Radio Televisyen Brunei celebrated 20 years of collaboration.

Held at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre in Brunei, the concert dazzled the audience with performances from popular artistes of both countries.

Among them, Singapore’s Hady Mirza, Anugerah runner—up Kunjung, Singapore Idol runner—up Sylvia Ratonel and Brunei’s Zul F and popular boyband EM4 among others.

Rapsodi Fiesta was shown live on MediaCorp’s Suria channel.

It was also simulcast live on MediaCorp’s Ria 89.7FM, which is also celebrating the station’s 20th Anniversary.

Singapore’s Information, Communications and the Arts Minister Lui Tuck Yew and Brunei’s Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Wahab Bin Juned attended the concert.

Also in attendance was MediaCorp’s CEO Lucas Chow and Deputy CEO Chang Long Jong.

Rapsodi is one of the four annual television co—productions that come under the Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Co—operation in the Field of Broadcasting between Singapore and Brunei.
