SINGAPORE: A 28—year—old man died after he was involved in a gang fight at Orchard Plaza early Friday morning.
Police said they were informed of a fight at about 4.15am.
They said the victim had slash wounds and was pronounced dead in hospital at about 5am.
Shopowners in the area told Channel NewsAsia that fights in the area are common, with an average of two to three incidents a week, especially on weekends.
Boutique owner James Koh said: "I saw a pool of blood outside my shop. And the whole place was blocked. I heard there was a gang clash....somebody was ’chopped’ outside my shop."
