Applications for foreign law practices licences to open in July
SINGAPORE: Applications for a second round of Qualifying Foreign Law Practice (QFLP) licences will open on July 1, 2012.
The QFLP scheme, introduced in 2008, allows foreign law practices that are awarded the QFLP licence to practise in "permitted areas" of Singapore law.
Six foreign law practices were awarded QFLP licences in December 2008.
The Ministry of Law says application forms for the QFLP licence will be available on the Ministry of Law’s QFLP website from 12.00am on July 1.
The deadline for submission of completed application forms is 4.00pm on August 31.
