Chairman of the Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council, Sylvia Lim, says the "red" banding for corporate governance it was given under the Town Council Management Report (TCMR) framework comes as no surprise.
In a statement, she said the factors that the National Development Ministry took into consideration included matters on which the twon council had provided information on in its statement on the 14th of February as well as in the Town Council's Annual Report itself.
Ms Lim says these matters are the subject of an ongoing audit by the Auditor-General's Office.
She says the Town Council will respond further, if there is a need to, after the audit.
