SINGAPORE: SingTel said all its non-fibre services affected by the recent Bukit Panjang Exchange fire have been restored, though some problems remain with its fibre services.
In a statement on Saturday afternoon, the telco said all its ADSL services, which include copper-based Internet, mio TV and voice services, are up and running.
As for fibre broadband customers, some may still have problems connecting to the Internet as a small number of fibre cables need further fixing.
SingTel said it is sending mobile broadband dongles to affected customers who have subscribed to fibre broadband services only.
The dongles would allow them to connect their laptops and desktop PCs to the Internet.
As for fibre-based mio TV, mio Voice and Internet customers, SingTel said it will start to install ADSL broadband at their homes to support these services.
The telco said it hopes to complete the rectification work as soon as possible. - CNA/xq
