A reversible flow traffic scheme for roads in Singapore

A reversible flow traffic scheme for roads in Singapore

Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew has said  the government is studying the feasibility of a reversible flow traffic scheme to make better use of scarce land space for roads.

He said the scheme would be ideal for stretches where the traffic flow is heavy mainly in one direction during the morning peak hours and in the opposite direction in the evenings.

Mr Heng  said the Kranji Expressway-Pan Island Expressway stretch connecting the residential areas in the north to jobs in the west has been identified as a feasible corridor for the scheme.
