SINGAPORE: Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers on Friday seized about 900g of heroin, estimated to be worth more than S$94,000.
The CNB mounted an operation at Bukit Panjang to arrest two suspected drug traffickers believed to be trafficking heroin.
At around 1.55pm, CNB officers spotted the first suspect, a 25-year-old Singaporean, driving into a multi-storey car park in the area.
They noticed the second suspect, a 52-year-old Singaporean, entering the vehicle driven by the first suspect.
They proceeded to tail the vehicle and moved in to arrest the suspects.
A search of the vehicle recovered about 900g of heroin and a small amount of “Ice”.
Both men are being investigated for drug trafficking.
If convicted, they may face the death penalty. - CNA/gn
