8 student—athletes receive Britain’s ’Dream 2012 Award’
SINGAPORE: Eight Singaporean student—athletes have been presented the Lord Sebastian Coe—British Chamber of Commerce ’Dream 2012 Award’.
The award went to Scott Glen Sydney and Victoria Chan for sailing, Amanda Lim, Mylene Ong and Tao Li for swimming, as well as Dipna Lim—Prasad, Stefan Tseng and Valerie Pereira for track and field.
The eight are from the Singapore Sports School alumni.
Since 2006, the British Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, has been supporting the Olympic dreams of Sports School’s student—athletes.
Tao Li has been a recipient of the ’Dream 2012 Award’ from the start, while this will be Stefan Tseng’s fourth award and Valerie Pereira’s second.
The other five athletes are first—time recipients.
