8 injured in KJE accident

An accident at Kranji Expressway in the early morning today has left eight people injured. 

Police say they received a call this morning at 5.30am, requesting for assistance. 

On arrival, police established there was an accident involving two private buses. 

Singapore Civil Defence Force, who also received a call for assistance, said the location was near KJE's exit leading to Pan Island Expressway towards Tuas. 

SCDF said eight people were sent to the National University Hospital. 

Police investigations are on-going. 

The accident triggered massive jam on the expressways, which began to ease before 9am, after the lanes at the accident site were cleared.
