5 Boys’ Brigade members awarded the President’s Award
SINGAPORE: Five members of The Boys’ Brigade in Singapore (BB) received the President’s Award on Tuesday.
President Tony Tan Keng Yam presented the award at the Istana to the cream of the crop from the BB Primers Programme.
The award goes to members who have fulfilled the rigorous award requirements in leadership and community service, for at least six years.
They are Senior Cadet Lieutenant (SCL) Ho Weng Shian, SCL Joshua Chan Yangle, SCL Kenneth Cheng Zemin, SCL Lim Kang Rui Garrick and SCL Seah Ern Xu.
They emerged from two stringent rounds of selection process, where they are assessed based on their achievements and contributions to the BB and the community.
Nominations for the President’s Award are made annually.
