SINGAPORE: Three women and a man have been arrested for theft.

Police said the four, who are between 26 and 43 years old, are suspected of having committed the offences at shopping malls in Telok Blangah Road and Orchard Road.

Police were alerted to a case on 10 November at a shopping mall in Telok Blangah Road.

The victim’s wallet was stolen, and the debit card was misused.

Police established that the suspects had acted in a group of four — two allegedly acted as the lookout while the other two allegedly stole from the victims.

Police said the group targeted women who had left their handbags unzipped.

Officers raided a hotel in Rochor area and arrested the four suspects at about 8:00pm on Saturday. They seized 21 mobile phones.

The four suspects will be charged in court with theft on Monday.
