39 people nabbed for drug—related and criminal offences
SINGAPORE: Police have arrested 39 people for drug—related and criminal offences, after an 18—hour joint enforcement operation on Thursday.
It involved 140 officers, including those from the Criminal Investigation Department, Central Narcotics Bureau, Singapore Civil Defence Force, and Singapore Customs.
They checked 284 persons across public entertainment outlets and residential estates in Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang and Sengkang.
Two people were caught for possession of contraband cigarettes.
Breaches in fire safety regulations were also detected at two entertainment outlets.
