SINGAPORE : Thirty—one servicemen were appointed as Military Experts 4 in the 4th Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Senior Military Experts Appointment Ceremony at SAFTI Military Institute on Friday evening.
The graduating cohort comprised nine from the Army, 13 from the Republic of Singapore Air Force, four from the Republic of Singapore Navy and five from the Joint Service.
In his speech, Senior Minister of State for Defence Chan Chun Sing, who officiated at the event, urged the Military Experts to continue to learn and to innovate.
The Military Domain Experts Course (MDEC) is a professional milestone qualification course designed for personnel to be appointed to the senior rank of Military Experts 4 in their respective military domains.
This allows military experts from different career tracks to take on jobs where in—depth expertise is required.
The training conducted during the MDEC enables the Military Experts to develop their leadership competencies, deepen their military domain knowledge and hone their specialisation skills.
Following the appointment ceremony, they will move on to assume command or staff appointments in their professional areas.
