SINGAPORE: About 3,000 residents from Nee Soon GRC gathered to break fast on Sunday evening (July 13).
Joining the residents was Law and Foreign Affairs Minister K Shanmugam, who is also MP for Nee Soon GRC.
The event is organised by the Malay Activity Executive Committees with the Indian Muslim Social Service Association and three mosques located in the GRC.
In the spirit of giving, some 125 needy families also received food vouchers and goodie bags.
One of those who attended the event, 26-year-old Eliane Tan, said it was an excellent chance for her and her family to learn more about the local Muslim culture and "get to know each other better." - CNA/nd
