300 underprivileged seniors enjoy lunch organised by four Accor Hotels in Singapore
The season of giving has come early for some 300 seniors, who enjoyed a lunch organised by the four Accor Hotels in Singapore.
The lunch was organised together with the Central Singapore Community Development Council (Central CDC), for seniors from under-privileged backgrounds.
They were treated to song and dance performances, and also received red packets from guest-of-honour, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
The red packets, containing a token sum of $5, was raised by Accor Hotels' staff members.
There was also a cheque presentation of $14, 000 to the Central Singapore CDC. The money will go towards supporting under-privileged seniors under the Bright Homes Programme. The programme equips volunteer groups and community partners with funds to cater to the social, psychological and other needs of seniors living in 1 or 2-room rental flats.
