SINGAPORE: The results of the 2013 Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE 'O' Level) Examination will be released on January 13, 2014.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Education Ministry said school candidates can collect their results from their schools at 2pm that day.
Private candidates can access their results through the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board website from 2pm the same day.
They will also be informed of their results by post.
Students who wish to apply for studies at junior colleges, Millennia Institute, polytechnics or the Institute of Technical Education can do so through the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) with their GCE 'O' Level results.
Registration for the admission exercise will open from 3pm on January 13 to 4pm on January 17.
Applicants are to submit their application online at the joint admission exercise website.
The statement said the posting results are tentatively scheduled for release on February 5, 2014.
It will be done through the joint admission exercise website and through SMS to the mobile phone number provided by the applicant during registration.
In addition, students who wish to apply only to the polytechnics can also participate in the joint polytechnic special admissions exercise.
The ministry statement said this exercise complements the joint admission exercise by allowing polytechnics to consider applicants based on a broader measure of merit beyond academic performance in the GCE 'O' Level Examination. - CNA/fa
