SINGAPORE: Two new garden trails were unveiled on Saturday at Gardens by the Bay.
The Gardens will be roping in Girl Guides to be their ambassadors.
"GB Ambassadors" is a joint project by the Gardens by the Bay and Girl Guides Singapore.
For a start, 50 Girl Guides from five secondary schools have been trained as Garden Guides to bring visitors on the new garden trails.
They will also help facilitate programmes and assist in the Gardens’ operations.
President Tony Tan Keng Yam’s wife, Mrs Mary Tan, who is the Patron of the Girl Guides, planted a tree at Fragile Forest to commemorate the project launch.
Some 9,000 Girl Guides, Brownies and their families were also at the Gardens to celebrate World Thinking Day, which falls on 22 February.
