12-year-old boy dies during PE class
SINGAPORE : Another student has died during a physical education (PE) class this week.
A 12-year-old boy from Temasek Junior College died on Wednesday, after reportedly suffering an asthma attack.
According to a relative of the boy, who is an Integrated Programme, he was preparing to do some warm up exercises when he fainted. He had informed his teacher that he did not feel well before he collapsed.
Police have classified the case as an unnatural death.
This is the second such case this week. On Monday, a secondary four student of Tanglin Secondary School fainted when he was jogging during a PE class.
He was sent to the National University Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
