12 suspects arrested for loansharking activities
SINGAPORE: Twelve suspects have been arrested for involvement in loansharking activities.
The men, who’re between 23 and 56 years old, were caught during an islandwide operation covering Bedok, Circuit Road, Ho Ching Road, Woodlands and Sengkang on Monday.
Police said on Tuesday 9 that they’re believed to have opened bank accounts and given away their ATM cards and Personal Identification Number (PIN) to loan sharks to help them with their illegal moneylending business.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
