SINGAPORE: Another ’Our Singapore Conversation’ was held on Friday, but for the first time it involved heartland businesses and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
More than 200 SMEs from education, manufacturing, health and other industries shared ideas on how to strengthen the sector.
Minister of State for Trade and Industry Teo Ser Luck said: "There was the usual gripe about bureaucracy. We are trying to look at the overall picture and say that how do we make sure that policies can be very SME—centric, for example, application for licences. All these things are very important for some of the businesses like F&B."
