Frustration grows

Over 1,000 people were left injured following the most severe clashes since Mubarak's fall - as once again masses of protesters took to the streets to demand a faster pace of reform, accusing the military rulers of adopting the same authoritarian tactics as Mubarak. The authorities cracked down hard on the protests.
