Ingush and Chechen Islamic terrorists seized control of a school in Beslan, Russia, on September 1st, taking those inside hostage. On September 3rd, Russian authorities stormed the school to end the crisis. The chaos that followed resulted in over 380 dead (including 186 children - according to one figure).
