School principals pick up batik painting for good cause

In an effort to raise funds for Community Chest to help the needy, 70 school principals gathered for a session of batik painting recently at the Hort Park.

Their final products will go on sale during an exhibition at VivoCity come end-November.

When: 24-25 Nov 2012, 10am to 10pm
Where: VivoCity South Avenue

Interested members of the public will be able to preview the paintings on Community Chest’s Facebook page from Nov 19. So far, donations for eight of the 70 paintings have already been pledged.

All proceeds from the sale will be go to the 82 charities supported by Community Chest. The project hopes to raise over $10,000 for more than 300,000 beneficiaries.
