Stosur suffers more Wimbledon woe
Australia's Samantha Stosur returns to Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer during their women's singles first round match during the Wimbledon Championships at The All England Tennis Club in southwest London, on June 23, 2014 - by Glyn Kirk
Stosur's 6-3, 6-4 defeat against Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer on Court Three means the former US Open champion has now failed to get beyond the third round in 12 appearances.
The 30-year-old served 13 aces and hit 25 winners, but still came up short against the world number 54, continuing a miserable sequence of seven successive Grand Slam appearances without getting past the fourth round.
