Indian state seeks federal probe into gang-rape murder of two girls

State chief minister Akhilesh Yadav recommended the Central Bureau of Investigation probe the crimes against the two cousins, aged 12 and 14, whose bodies were found hanging from a tree Wednesday, as public anger over the deaths mounted.
