Baby Prince George heading to Australia, New Zealand
Britain's Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, arrive with their son Prince George of Cambridge at Chapel Royal in St James's Palace in central London on October 23, 2013 - by John Stillwell
The little prince will make his first royal tour when he travels with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge around New Zealand from April 7 to 16, and then Australia from April 16 to 25.
George -- who is directly in line to become king of Australia and of New Zealand after his father William and grandfather Prince Charles -- was born on July 22 last year. He has rarely been seen in public since.
William, 31, and Kate, 32, hope to take him along to a few specific engagements throughout the tour, their Kensington Palace official residence in London said as they gave out details of the trip.
In New Zealand, the royal couple will start their visit in Wellington, before travelling to Blenheim, Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Dunedin, Queenstown and Christchurch.
In Australia, their tour begins in Sydney and will then take in the Blue Mountains, Brisbane, Uluru (Ayers Rock), Adelaide and Canberra.
It had previously been announced only that they hoped to take baby George with them.
