Azhar Ahmed charged for slur against soldiers
Six British soldiers were killed by an improved explosive device in Afghanistan on 6 March last year. Two days later, Azhar Ahmed posted on his Facebook that "all soldiers should die and go to hell".
It caused uproar during the emotive and sensitive time, with some calling for him to be punished by law. The case was eventually brought to court and Azhar was fined £300 and sentenced to 240 hours of community service over a two year period.
