Sunflowers in Japan
As many as 1.2 million sunflowers are planted by local farmers in 24.1 hectares of unused rice fields to attract tourists to the annual Sayo Himawari Matsuri, or Sayo Sunflower Festival in Japan. In this picture, a Japanese woman and her son enjoy a walk in a sunflower field on July 24, 2014.
