The gunman, identified as Radcliffe Haughton, 45, was later found dead at the scene in Brookfield, a suburb of Milwaukee. He was believed to have shot himself.

The mass shooting was the second such incident in the mid-western US state this year. In August, six people were killed at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, another suburb of Milwaukee.

According to local media reports, Haughton was in the midst of an ugly divorce from his wife who was working at the day spa. Prior to the shooting, his wife had gotten an order of protection banning him from contacting her and included a notice ordering him to hand in his guns.

There were no immediate details on those killed in Sunday's mass shooting. Local media reported that the four people who were injured are not believed to be critically hurt. However, one woman who was shot in the neck may be around six months pregnant, reports said.
