Teddy bear artists and enthusiasts from around the region gathered at the Drama Centre at the National Library Building over the weekend (Nov 23 and 24) for the 6th Singapore Teddy Bear Show.

Apart from antique and original handmade teddy bears, there were also modern collectibles, accessories, and artist reproductions for collectors.

Visitors were treated to creations by guest artist Anna Filatova from Russia, who together her sister, Kate, have been wowing collectors with their vintage yet romantic-style stuffed animals since 2008.

The sisters, who inherited the passion for needlework and bear-making skills from their mother and grandmother, create each stuffed animal by hand the traditional way, using natural materials and original patterns they designed themselves. All their teddy bears and animals are one of a kind and made with love.

The event also saw the latest works by regular favourites Sueyi Tam from Hong Kong, Roy & Heather Watkins from New Zealand, and Daniel Ord and Marcus von Kloeden fom The Art Club Singapore.
