Some 180,000 people were treated a multi-cultural parade and performances at this year’s Chingay at the F1 Pit Building on February 7 and 8.
Asia's grandest street parade, Chingay, kicked off with much fanfare with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong officially launching the start of the festivities on February 7.
This year’s theme is "Colours of Fabric, One People" and featured a 360-metre batik art painting - "Paint With ONE Heart" - and knitting tapestries put together by some 40,000 Singaporeans and new immigrants.
The two-hour visual spectacle which included parade floats, stilt-walkers and a mass ballet performance, involved some 7,500 performers from Singapore and abroad.
If you who missed the parade, fret not. You can catch it on xinmsn as well as on Channel 8 on February 16 at 2.30pm.
Chingay celebrations will also continue to the heartlands - to East Coast GRC and Joo Chiat SMC on February 15 and Punggol-Sengkang New Town on February 22.
