S'pore's NODX falls sharply in March

Singapore's key non-oil exports unexpectedly fell in March as growth in electronics exports slowed while non-electronics shipments fell sharply.
Trade promotion agency International Enterprise Singapore said exports of goods made in Singapore fell 4.3 percent in March compared with a year earlier, after rising 30.4 percent in February.
Economists were expecting an 8.2 percent increase in March from a year earlier.
Compared with the previous month, exports fell 16.8 percent, after expanding an upwardly revised 7.2 percent on month in February.
Electronics exports rose 2.8 percent on year, after rising 23.3 percent in February.
Meanwhile, non-electronics shipments fell 7.8 percent, compared with a 33.9 percent rise in the previous month.
