South Korea's current account surplus hits 6-month high

South Korea's current account surplus hit a six-month high in May as dividend payments to foreign investors declined and the service sector improved. 

The Bank of Korea said the surplus more than doubled to over US$3.6 billion last month, compared with the previous month. 

On a year-on-year basis, it surged 66 percent.
