South Korea economy grows 0.4 % on-quarter in Q2

South Korea's economy grew 0.4 percent in the three months to June, from the previous quarter of 0.9 percent.

The central bank said the economy is slowing down as the euro zone debt crisis hit exports and consumption eased.

On a year-on-year basis, the economy expanded 2.4 percent.

That's the weakest annualised growth since September 2009.

Advisor for North Asia at Triple-A Partners, Hank Morris expects the economy to contract further.
