PM Lee hopes TPP can conclude by Dec
Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong expressed hope that the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or TPP, can be concluded by the end of the month.
In an interview with Japan's broadcaster NHK, Mr Lee said negotiators should maintain their faith, and keep up the pressure.
He also urged member countries of the TPP to be practical and make adjustments in order to get a good outcome.
Trade Ministers from 12 countries have been negotiating in Singapore since Saturday.
They are trying to meet a deadline to forge a regional trade pact before the end of the year.
Mr Lee said the TPP has made a lot of progress and negotiators are determined to complete the agreement.
Many chapters have been settled, but a few are still outstanding.
