Wisconsin, U.S.

The same story was heard in Wisconsin last December.
A new mother cared for the wrong baby for three hours at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay last year, NBC26 News reported.
The mix-up came to light when the father of the other child realised his baby’s umbilical cord was clamped again when it had been removed the day before.
After investigating, the hospital then discovered the babies had been accidentally switched in their cribs. A worker at the hospital had apparently failed to match the numbers on the children's identification bands when she handed them over to their parents.
Even though the hospital admitted its mistake, the distressed mother eventually reached out to the media when the hospital refused to let her know who had her baby while she was nursing someone else’s child.
