SINGAPORE: Blogger Xiaxue took to her blog on May 24 to lash back at commenters on sociopolitical website Temasek Review's Facebook page who left undesirable comments about People's Action Party (PAP) rally photos she took with friends Bong Qiu Qiu and Sophie Willocq, to the support of many netizens.
The blogpost contains screencaps of the comments posted on Temasek Review's Facebook page about a year ago. Commenters ranted on the girls' looks and social standing, with some calling Xiaxue a 'whore' and Qiu Qiu, a 'spoilt rich girl'. The pictures on Temasek Review's Facebook page were posted with a prompt to add captions and were obtained from the girls' respective blogs without their permission. Xiaxue's blogpost contains personal pictures and information about select commenters from the Facebook postings.
Xiaxue claims that such information of the commenters are "readily available online" and opined that her husband Mike likened her post to her pointing at a man if she sees him "walking around naked". She believes that her post is meant for the commenters to "take consequences for their actions" and affirms that "they picked the wrong person to mess with".
Amongst the commenters she exposed included Aaron Heng who commented on her looks. She retorted by posting a picture of him as well as information on his workplace, with a link to a page on his website containing his contact details. Another exposed commenter is Hong Xing, whose lewd comments prompted Xiaxue to post a picture of his family and claims he has "a slight obsession over prostitution and sex". Hong Xing has replied with a Facebook post on his wall persuading readers to report her blog as "abusive".
