Funeral blankets line up the void deck and are given to add glory and pride to the deceased. A sign of one's affluence is determined by the extent of decoration these "sympathy blankets" provide. Condolence messages and/or idioms are seen on these blankets. The blankets are preferred gifts over wreaths as they do not wither over time.
